Consultations in Latvian and Russian

“Parents come to me frightened, phone full of things they found online. The first thing I do is tell them what it is not.”

Dr Selga Freiberga has worked in dermatology since 1999 and is the founder of DermaMed. She opened the clinic in 2001 with a single consulting room on Zemgales prospekts and a conviction that chronic skin conditions need time, not faster prescriptions.

Most of her patients are children — from infants with seborrhoeic dermatitis to teenagers with severe acne. In cases of atopic dermatitis she works with the whole family: the moisturising routine, the home environment, laundry and diet are discussed as carefully as the medication.

Dr Selga is also an aesthetic medicine physician and treats adult patients with psoriasis, eczema and venereological concerns. She has been a board member of the Latvian Association of Dermatovenereologists since 2019.
